We’re just entering through spring season, but everyone during fashion week was already buzzing with their fall and winter favourites: Zadig & Voltaire’s edgy outerwear pieces, Isabel Marant’s western-vibe pantsuit offerings, and more. This year’s New York Fashion Week got us excited about all of the trends that we can strut our stuff in — from pantsuits, burgundy silhouettes, animal prints to classic sheer luxe, there’s a trend fit for everyone!

Let’s have a look at the top 5 trends we’re dying to try out this fall season:

WESTERN PANTSUIT

Tailored pantsuits have long been considered a fashion staple; they're no longer an office-only piece of clothing that’s confined on a Monday to Friday timeframe. During NYFW Fall 2018, both Alexander McQueen and Isabel Marant, respectively, highlighted a new touch of pantsuit: flared, tailored and with a Western vibe.

BURGUNDY SILHOUETTES

Burgundy is such a rich and warm colour which is why it’s no surprise that designer brands such Prabal Gurung and Michael Kors decked their models with the deep and regal silhouette. From dresses, jumpsuits to faux fur jackets, burgundy is definitely the go-to colour of the season.

ANIMAL PRINTS

Whether leopard, cheetah or tiger design, this famous print was all over New York Fashion Week Fall 2018 with designer labels like Tibi and Victoria Beckham featuring the animal print on their runway shows, respectively. We’re sure that this office-worthy look will be every woman's favourite print to style with pleated skirts, blouses and skirts!

EDGY OUTERWEAR

Fall season would not be complete without featuring chunky outerwear on the runway. In lieu of this, designer brands such as Carolina Herrera and Zadig & Voltaire flaunted both edgy and statement-making outerwear pieces on their fashion shows, respectively. The pieces were as trendy and current just as they were cosy at the same time.

SHEER LUXE

Runway shows will have nothing short of sheer offerings, even through fall season. This year’s New York Fashion Week Fall 2018 highlighted the sheer trend, with Self-Portrait and Proenza Schouler commanding a luxe vibe on the runway. To keep things modest with the sheer trend, choose to layer it over a white or nude top!

Which of the trends would you love to try out this fall?
